The private keys never leave the card, and every transaction requires the correct Card-PIN and physical NFC signing. Each X Card also has a unique encrypted hardware ID verified by the ELLIPAL App. After 10 incorrect Card-PIN attempts, the card automatically wipes its stored data. NFC only transmits encrypted transaction data and does not expose your private key. Moving your crypto from Coinbase to a self-custody wallet means only you hold the keys, and a few careful habits make the process safe and simple: (1) In the ELLIPAL App, copy the receiving address of the coin you want to move: https://support.ellipal.com/x-card/view-receiving-addresses (2) In Coinbase, paste the address and select the same network. (3) For XRP, a Destination Tag is usually not required when sending to your own ELLIPAL wallet; if Coinbase asks for one, you can enter 0. (4) Send a small test amount first, then send the rest once it arrives. Most importantly, keep your Seed Phrase offline and never share it with anyone.
