I really don't know if the X Card is safe to use. I used to use Ledger. Money was missing. They blamed me. Only to find out there was a way the Nano X Plus could be hacked. They said this was impossible. When they ommitted that the chip had a attenna attached to send an receive. This makes me wonder. Now Elipal Be paying out also for data breaches also. Is this X Card hacked also. I don't know if it compromised also this is why I left a neutral response. Maybe my phone not being NFC Capable is the best for now. Maybe putting all my extra money being placed in a mason jar and buried in the back yard would be safer

NFC only transmits encrypted transaction data and does not expose your private key. You do not need to write down every detail about the wallet—just securely back up your seed phrase and any passphrase you choose to set. For inheritance, you can leave your daughter clear, secure instructions for accessing those backups when the time comes. My name is Frank, I am 64 years old technology illiterate. I began to purchase crypto on Coinbase but kept reading commentaries on social media sites how unsafe that might be. I started reading things about cold wallets being air gapped and only you have the seed phrase. I decided these two security measures were powerful, so I purchased the 2.0 ELLIPAL. I read the instructions and followed them and was scared to death at the point of transferring the crypto from Coinbase but thought no guts no glory. I did it all, super risky. It tells you to do a small portion first, but the reckless abandon in me just said it’s only money. It worked perfectly and I have done it multiple times now and feel at ease doing it. Thank you ELLIPAL I love your product. I’m now considering purchasing your thin wallets as well. If I can do it anyone can.

Moving your crypto from Coinbase to a self-custody wallet means only you hold the keys, and a few careful habits make the process safe and simple: (1) In the ELLIPAL App, copy the receiving address of the coin you want to move: https://support.ellipal.com/x-card/view-receiving-addresses (2) In Coinbase, paste the address and select the same network. (3) For XRP, a Destination Tag is usually not required when sending to your own ELLIPAL wallet; if Coinbase asks for one, you can enter 0. (4) Send a small test amount first, then send the rest once it arrives. Most importantly, keep your Seed Phrase offline and never share it with anyone. I don’t like the fact that the seed phrase is provided for you

It is generated randomly inside the card's secure chip when you create your wallet, and you can also choose to recover a wallet with your own existing Seed Phrase instead.
