Cold Wallet

Bitcoin Wallet

Bitcoin is the world's first cryptocurrency, secured by a global network no single entity controls. ELLIPAL's cold wallets support Bitcoin, keeping your private key offline from the moment it's created.

TRUE OWNERSHIP

Your Bitcoin. Your Keys. Your Control.

Bitcoin holds real value, and the only way to fully own it is to hold the private key yourself. ELLIPAL cold wallets create that key during a 100% Offline Setup and keep it on the hardware for good, so what you hold is actually yours from day one.

Five things specific to Bitcoin

Bitcoin's case as an asset

Not shared by every cryptocurrency, and not promised by any company.

01

The longest track record in crypto.

Running without interruption since 2009, longer than any other cryptocurrency ELLIPAL supports.

02

A supply cap nobody can move.

Its 21 million coin limit is written into the protocol, not controlled by any company or vote.03

03

No founder, no company, no foundation.

Bitcoin's creator disappeared in 2011; its direction is set by open consensus, not a boardroom.

04

Treated more like a reserve than a currency to spend.

Companies, funds, and even governments hold it as a long-term reserve, closer to how gold has been held.

05

Long-term doesn't mean locked away.

Holding for years doesn't mean losing access — it can still be sent, received, or exchanged anytime.

How ELLIPAL handles Bitcoin

ELLIPAL's support for Bitcoin

Both ELLIPAL Titan 2.0 and ELLIPAL X Card support Bitcoin as one of their core assets, so you're not choosing between "the Bitcoin wallet" and "the other wallet." Titan 2.0 signs Bitcoin transactions via QR Code Signing on its 4-inch Touchscreen; X Card signs with an NFC Tap. Both generate and hold the Bitcoin private key entirely on the device, recoverable only with your Seed Phrase if the device is ever lost or replaced.

ELLIPAL supports all four standard Bitcoin address formats, including Taproot, Bitcoin's newest and most efficient format. You can hold balances across multiple formats and switch between them in the wallet.

ADDRESS FORMATS

FAQ

Bitcoin wallet, answered

Your Bitcoin lives on the blockchain, not inside the device. As long as you have your Seed Phrase, you can restore full access on a new ELLIPAL device.

Not for most people. Native SegWit works well for day-to-day use. If you're receiving Bitcoin from an exchange or another wallet that expects a specific format, or you want the lowest possible fees, you can switch to Taproot or another format in the wallet.

Older or more basic wallets sometimes can't recognize newer formats like Taproot as valid, which can make the sender think they have the wrong address. If that happens, switch to sharing your Legacy address instead — it's compatible with every Bitcoin wallet and exchange.

Yes. Bitcoin transactions carry a network fee that changes with how busy the network is. The ELLIPAL App shows the estimated fee before you confirm.

Halving is a scheduled event roughly every four years that cuts the rate of new Bitcoin creation in half. It's a network-level event, and it doesn't touch your private key or your existing balance.
