After upgrading to version 4.12.0 or later, you can enable and use BTC Taproot addresses on TITAN Series devices.
Note: Taproot is supported on Titan Series only. It is not available on X Card.
Steps
1. Update App and Device
Make sure both are updated to version 4.12.0 :
● ELLIPAL App
● TITAN firmware
2. Re-import Your Wallet
Re-import your wallet using your:
● Seed Phrase
● Passphrase (if used)
Important:
Do not delete your existing account before re-importing. Import the wallet directly instead.
Make sure your seed phrase and passphrase (if used) are backed up correctly before proceeding.
If you see “Address already existed in ‘ELLIPAL’. Do you want to overwrite?”, the recovery was successful. Tap OK to continue.
3. Reconnect to App
Reconnect your TITAN to the App via QR code.
4. Switch to Taproot Address
Titan: tap the "<" or ">" arrows to switch addresses.
App: tap the icon in the top right corner of the account page.
Notes
● Taproot addresses start with bc1p
● If not visible, check version and re-import status
