Set Up Your X Card

Only the Starter can be used to set up your X Card.

Turn on the Starter, insert X Card with the chip side up, create or recover a wallet.

Can I manage multiple wallets with one X Card?

No, one X Card can only manage a single wallet.
If you have multiple wallets, we recommend using separate X Cards for each one to keep them secure and organized.

Does the X Card support Passphrases?

Yes. If your wallet includes a Passphrase, simply enable this feature in the Starter device settings before importing your wallet.

How many copies of the same wallet can I make with the X Card?

You can duplicate a wallet toup to 10 additional X Cards during creation or recovery, allowing for flexible backup options.

Do I need to use Starter frequently?

No, you only need to use the Starter when initializing your X Card or recovering a wallet.
After that, for daily use, simply connect your X Card to the ELLIPAL App on your phone. The Starter is no longer needed.

Does X Card need upgrades?

X Card doesn't need upgrades, it's designed to automatically support new chains. Whenever we support new chains, we will clearly state whether they are compatible with X Card.

What if I forget my Card-PIN? Can it be reset?

If you need to reset it, you can use the same seed phrase to reinitialize the X Card using Starter and set a new Card-PIN during this phase.

What if I lose my X Card?

Even if you lose your X Card, your assets remain secure.
If someone obtains your X Card, they must enter the correct Card PIN to access your wallet.
After 10 incorrect attempts, the card will automatically reset to factory settings—your assets stay safe.
You can continue using a backup card or recover your wallet with the seed phrase.
